Overview
Come home with professional photographs of Rome with you—not the person holding the phone—in the frame. This private one-person photoshoot combines guided portraits, natural movement and carefully chosen city backgrounds for your personal Instagram, social media and travel memories.
You do not need modelling experience or a large online following. Jeff or Sara will guide your posture, hands, expression and movement, then adapt the route, light and pace to the look you want. Eidos Photography has worked with visitors in Rome since 2013.
One person is photographed. This Solo service can be booked only when the photographed client is aged 13 or older. You may bring one companion who remains off camera; please mention them when planning the session.
Important for clients under 12. An off-camera adult or companion does not make a Solo booking eligible. At least one additional photographed participant aged 13 or older must be included, so please contact us for the appropriate family or group option.

Route note: All monument coverage is outdoors. Walking, transfers, outfit changes and breaks use the booked session time. Public-space access, crowd levels and empty backgrounds cannot be guaranteed.
Styled experience
Special Package: Flying Dress Experience
Flying Dress is a styled one-person experience for clients who want fashion-led travel portraits rather than a standard walking session. It includes 60 minutes at one selected location, 20 edited photographs, one available dress, a dress assistant to create movement and a mobile changing tent.
The dress colour, size and availability must be confirmed in advance. Current location choices are Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Colosseum or Castel Sant’Angelo. The edited photo gallery is delivered within 72 hours.
Included Short Cinematic Reel: the same approximately 30-second, mobile-shot vertical Reel offered as an optional extra with standard sessions. For Flying Dress it is already included and is delivered within one week, so a second Reel should not be added unless a different video deliverable is agreed in writing.

Planning Your Solo Photoshoot in Rome
You Do Not Need to Know How to Pose
We guide your hands, posture, gaze and movement with simple directions. Walking a few steps, pausing by a wall or looking across the city can create variety without stiff poses. Tell us if you prefer natural movement, stronger editorial direction or a quieter pace. Smiling in every frame is not required.
Plan for Instagram and Personal Social Media
Share a few reference images and your intended use before the session. We can plan a balanced mix of close portraits, full-length images, wider Rome scenes and movement. References guide the mood; an exact copy of another photograph, crowd level or lighting condition cannot be promised.
Mention 4:5 posts, 9:16 Stories, a profile image or negative space before we shoot so the framing can support that use. Custom crops, duplicate exports and video covers are supplied only when agreed; they are not automatically created for every photograph. Personal, non-commercial sharing is included. Sponsored posts, paid promotion, business websites and brand campaigns need a separate commercial agreement.
Choose the Light for the Look You Want
- Early morning. The strongest starting point for Trevi Fountain and other highly visited landmarks, usually with fewer people and softer light.
- Golden hour and sunset. Ideal for warmer light in local streets, gardens and open Colosseum viewpoints when the route and date allow.
- Blue hour. Combines a cooler sky with city lights for a cinematic look. Confirm the actual twilight window and a suitable bookable start before reserving.
Sunrise, sunset, blue hour, opening times and crowd conditions change through the year. Your written confirmation sets the actual Rome-local start time; no fixed clock time guarantees the same light in every month.
Clothing, Belongings, Companion and Movement
- Clothing and outfit changes. Wear something you feel confident in and bring comfortable walking shoes. Any change uses active session time, and outdoor routes do not guarantee a private changing place unless the selected product expressly includes one.
- Belongings. Bring only what you can comfortably keep with you. Eidos does not provide luggage storage or a dedicated person to watch valuables.
- One off-camera companion. One person may join you without being photographed and does not count as a photographed participant. If they also want portraits or photographs together, contact us before booking so the correct service can be arranged.
- Clients under 12. A Solo session cannot be booked for a client under 12, even when an adult or off-camera companion attends. At least one additional photographed participant aged 13 or older must be included in the booking. Contact us to arrange the appropriate family or group option.
- Transfers. Guests arrange and pay for taxis or public transport, although we can help with the plan. The photographer travels with the client between agreed stops. Transport is recommended for longer routes and necessary for some location combinations.
- Late arrival. The session normally ends at the confirmed time, so lateness reduces the time available. We may be flexible when the day’s schedule permits, but extra time cannot be guaranteed.

Short Cinematic Reel
An optional approximately 30-second vertical video filmed on a mobile device for personal social media. It uses short planned moments—such as walking, turning or natural movement—rather than continuous video coverage, and is delivered within one week. It is already included in Flying Dress and should not be purchased twice for that product.
Additional Edited Photos
Add more finished photographs in the Eidos editing style during checkout, or request them after the session if suitable images remain available. The photographer still curates the standard package selection; client selection is available only by prior agreement.
Get All Photos
Receive the complete usable, non-duplicate session set as unedited JPEGs alongside the edited gallery. These files are not a second edited gallery. Proprietary camera RAW files, test exposures, accidental frames and technically unusable photographs are not included.
Delivery
What You Receive
- A photographer-curated edited set. The selected package states the final number of edited photographs. The photographer chooses the strongest images for expression, variety and technical quality unless client selection was agreed in advance.
- High-resolution JPEG files. Edited photographs are delivered through a private online gallery for personal downloading and sharing. Standard editing includes consistent colour, exposure and a natural finish; major face or body alteration, object removal and advanced compositing require separate agreement.
- Clear delivery times. Standard solo routes are delivered within 48 hours. Flying Dress photographs are delivered within 72 hours. A Short Cinematic Reel is delivered within one week.
- One year of gallery access. The online gallery remains available for one year. Download and back up the files promptly because the gallery is a delivery service, not permanent personal storage.
Recommendation
Eidos Recommendation & Booking Steps
For a first solo photoshoot and a varied personal travel feed, our recommended starting point is a 60-minute Local Districts session. Choose 30 minutes when one landmark is your clear priority, 90 minutes when you genuinely want several recognisable Rome settings, and Flying Dress when the styled fashion element matters more than a walking route.
- Share your brief. Send your target date, preferred environment, a few reference images, intended personal use and any special request such as an outfit change, Reel, mobility note or off-camera companion.
- Confirm the plan. Agree the product, duration, route, Rome-local start time, meeting point, photographer, final edited-photo count, transfers and extras.
- Secure the booking. Choose either the required 20% booking payment or full payment, accept the applicable terms and receive written confirmation. When a 20% payment is used, the balance is due after the photoshoot. An enquiry alone does not reserve the date.
These direct-booking conditions apply when the session is arranged with Eidos through the website, direct contact or PayPal payment. Bookings made through a marketplace follow that platform’s applicable terms.

Do I need modelling experience?
No. Jeff or Sara will guide your posture, hands, expression and movement throughout the session. You can ask for a natural, editorial or more relaxed approach.
Can I bring someone with me?

Can someone under 12 book this solo photoshoot?

Which route is best for a first solo photoshoot?
For variety without transfers, start with 60 minutes in Monti, Trastevere or the Jewish Ghetto. For one must-have landmark, choose the Colosseum or early Trevi. Send references if you want a personalised recommendation.
Can I change outfits or visit several locations?
Yes, when the selected duration and route realistically allow it. Outfit changes and transfers use the booked time, and a private changing space is not guaranteed outdoors.
How do we travel between locations?
Guests arrange and pay for taxis or public transport; we can help plan the transfers, and the photographer travels with the client. Some multi-location combinations cannot be completed without a taxi or metro.
Will the photos be suitable for Instagram?
Tell us before the session whether you need posts, Stories, a profile image or negative space. We will frame with that use in mind, but bespoke crops and multiple versions must be agreed rather than assumed for every image.
Can I use the images for sponsored or business content?
The standard licence covers personal, non-commercial sharing. Sponsored posts, paid advertisements, business websites and brand campaigns require a separate written commercial agreement.
Who selects the final photographs?
The photographer selects the package’s edited set for expression, variety and technical quality. Client selection is available only when agreed in advance. Additional Edited Photos can be purchased at checkout or requested after the session.
Is a Reel included?
It is an optional extra for standard solo sessions and is delivered within one week. Flying Dress already includes the same approximately 30-second mobile-shot vertical Reel, so it should not be added twice.
When will I receive the files?
Standard solo photographs are delivered within 48 hours; Flying Dress photographs within 72 hours; and a Short Cinematic Reel within one week. The private online gallery remains accessible for one year.
What if my flight is delayed or my plans change?
For a direct booking, cancelling at least 24 full hours before the start allows a full refund or one reschedule, subject to availability. Within 24 hours, amounts paid are non-refundable. For a flight delay or cancellation within that window, we will reschedule if availability allows; if it does not, no refund is due. Marketplace bookings follow the platform’s terms.
What happens if the weather is unsafe?
If dangerous weather prevents the session from starting, choose one reschedule or a full refund under the direct-booking conditions. If the session has already started, the solution is agreed in proportion to the coverage completed and the usable work created. Manageable weather may allow the session to continue with adjustments.
What if I arrive late?
The session normally ends at the original confirmed time, so lateness reduces the available photography time and may reduce the achievable route or variety. We may extend slightly only when the day’s schedule permits.
Can I request Jeff or Sara?
Yes. Share your preference before booking. A named photographer is guaranteed only when availability has been confirmed and the assignment is agreed in writing.
Will Eidos publish my photographs?
Booking does not give Eidos permission to publish identifiable photographs. Portfolio or promotional use requires separate, optional consent, and declining does not affect the booking.
