We photograph intimate ceremonies, private vows and wedding portraits in Rome. Whether it is just the two of you or a few loved ones, we help choose locations, work with the light and build a comfortable schedule.

Choose a portrait route for wedding-attire portraits and a brief private vow exchange, or request custom coverage for a scheduled ceremony or venue event. Jeff or Sara is confirmed in writing.

Photography service. Venue bookings, legal paperwork, officiants, permissions, transport and other suppliers remain your or your planner's responsibility.

Coverage

Choose Your Elopement Photography

Custom ranges are examples, not fixed minimums. Travel uses booked time, and each date in a two-day plan has separate inclusions.

Elopement Portrait Session

30 minutes to 2.5 hours. Wedding-attire portraits with an optional brief, pre-arranged couple-only vow exchange; no scheduled ceremony coverage.

Ceremony + Portraits

Usually 2-3 hours for a scheduled ceremony, couple portraits and a few guest or family photographs at one setting or nearby locations.

Half-Day Elopement

Usually 4-6 hours for preparations or a first look, ceremony, portraits, transfers and a short celebration when the timeline allows.

Extended Elopement Story

Usually 6-8 hours for preparations through celebration, including several venues, speeches or moments spread across the day.

Our recommendation: use one date for the ceremony and loved ones, and another for dedicated Rome portraits. Two days are optional; we can also plan one realistic combined schedule.

All routes are outdoors. Photo totals cover the whole session. Interiors, tickets and transport are excluded; walking, transfers and changes use booked time. Route order follows light and access.

Photography

Jeff or Sara photographs guided portraits and natural interaction, then works quietly during ceremonies. Confirm must-have family groups in advance.

Short Cinematic Reel

A mobile-shot short film of selected portrait moments. Length and format are agreed before booking; it is not continuous ceremony coverage.

Professional Videography

Professional camera and gimbal filming can include vow audio. The proposal confirms coverage, team, film length and whether continuous ceremony recording is included.

Second Photographer

Usually unnecessary for two-person portraits, but useful for separate preparations, guest reactions or simultaneous moments in different places.

Plan a Practical Rome Schedule

Ceremonies and permissions

We photograph civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies, private vows and renewals, subject to venue rules. A symbolic ceremony is not a legal marriage. You or your planner handles legal requirements, venue bookings, permissions, permits and admission fees.

One day or two

For a ceremony plus dedicated Rome portraits, we recommend separate dates when possible. This offers better light and an easier pace. A realistic same-day plan is also possible; each date and its inclusions are agreed separately.

Light and timing

Early morning is best for busy landmarks. Golden hour suits gardens and skyline views; blue hour may work at Castel Sant'Angelo or the Colosseum. We plan around your ceremony time and the light on your exact date in Rome local time.

Travel and comfort

Transfers use booked time. Allow for traffic, cobblestones and formal clothing; arrange and pay for transport directly. Bring comfortable shoes, keep bags light and share mobility needs or outfit changes before the route is confirmed.

Suppliers and public spaces

We may introduce independent hair, makeup, flower, transport or officiant suppliers when available, but you book and pay them directly. Public locations cannot guarantee empty backgrounds or uninterrupted access.

What You Receive

A photographer-selected and edited set in the Eidos style. Test shots, duplicates and unusable frames are excluded.
High-resolution JPEGs through a private online gallery. Portrait routes include the table total; custom coverage has a confirmed image range.
Portrait-route photos within 48 hours. Custom elopement photos and mobile Reels within one week. Professional video can take up to two months.
Additional edited photographs are available through the website. Professional video delivery and any sneak peek are confirmed separately.

Booking

Confirm Your Elopement Plan

Send your outline. Share dates, ceremony or private vows, locations, guests, essential moments, accessibility needs and any video request.
Receive a recommendation. We check availability, light and travel, then confirm the route or custom coverage and each date's inclusions.
Reserve the date. Complete the booking payment, accept the applicable terms and receive written confirmation. Custom coverage also requires an agreed proposal; an enquiry does not hold a date.

Weather and backup

Light rain may change the route or timing. If severe weather or an unavoidable restriction prevents the service, standard direct-booking terms allow an available reschedule or refund of the affected Eidos booking. Separate travel, venue and supplier costs are excluded.

Photographer availability

If your photographer becomes unavailable, a qualified Eidos photographer may step in unless a named photographer was agreed as essential. If no service, suitable replacement or reasonable reschedule is possible, the affected booking is refunded under the standard terms.

Rome Elopement Photography FAQ

Can we exchange private vows during a portrait session?

Yes. A brief couple-only exchange can fit a suitable portrait route when arranged in advance. A scheduled ceremony needs custom coverage.

Can witnesses or close guests join us?

Yes. Tell us who will attend and which shared portraits matter. Witnesses alone do not automatically require longer coverage.

Must we book two separate days?

No. Separate ceremony and portrait dates are recommended for flexibility, but we can plan a realistic same-day schedule.

How many photographs will we receive?

Portrait routes include the table total for the whole session. Custom coverage has an agreed image range, and additional edited photographs can be purchased.

Can we see a full elopement gallery?

Ask us. We will confirm whether a relevant gallery can be shared privately with the photographed clients' permission.

When will we receive the files?

Portrait-route photos arrive within 48 hours; custom elopement photos and mobile Reels within one week; professional video can take up to two months.

Will Eidos publish our photographs?

Only with separate permission. Booking and private gallery delivery do not allow portfolio, website, advertising or social-media publication.

How early should we book?

Contact us once your date is known, especially for weekends and high season. The date is held only after the booking steps and written confirmation.
