Wedding photography in Rome should fit the real shape of your day. We photograph civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies, destination weddings, receptions and wedding-attire portraits—from one focused session to preparations through celebration.

Coverage

Choose Your Wedding Photography

Portrait routes cover the couple only, without ceremony or event coverage. A venue schedule, guests, family groups or reception call for a custom wedding plan.

Landmark Wedding Portraits

30 minutes to 2.5 hours. Pre-wedding, post-wedding or next-day portraits in wedding attire; no ceremony or event coverage. Standard booking route.

Ceremony-Only Coverage

Around 1–2 hours for one venue, the ceremony, couple portraits and a concise list of essential family photographs. Custom proposal.

Half-Day Wedding

Around 4–6 hours: part of getting ready or a first look, ceremony, portraits, family and early celebration when the schedule allows. Custom proposal.

Full-Day Wedding

Around 8–12 hours from preparations through reception, including key moments such as speeches, cake or first dance. Video or a second photographer may be added by proposal.

These are planning ranges, not fixed packages or minimums. Timeline, venues, travel and simultaneous moments matter more than guest count alone.

Protect a portrait window

We highly recommend a dedicated window for iconic Rome portraits. A separate session the day before, after, or on a quiet morning is optional but allows better light and an easier pace. One combined day is possible when the schedule works; each date and service is agreed separately.

Photo totals cover the whole session. All routes are outdoors; interiors, tickets and transport are excluded. Roman Forum portraits use viewpoints outside the archaeological site. The Grand route includes 4–5 agreed stops, not every listed landmark.

Trevi’s inner perimeter has regulated access and maintenance exceptions. Check the official visitor information for your date; the surrounding square is a separate public viewing area.

Your photographer is confirmed in writing. We guide natural couple portraits, work quietly during events and agree essential family groups beforehand. A named request is guaranteed only when confirmed.

Professional Wedding Video

Professional camera, gimbal and agreed microphones. Coverage may include preparations, vows, speeches or reception. Team, audio, film length and any continuous recording are confirmed in the proposal.

Second Photographer

Useful for simultaneous preparations, spread-out venues, larger groups or important moments occurring in different places. Not automatically required.

More Photographs

Additional edited photos may be purchased. Get All Photos, when included or added, supplies session photographs as unedited JPEGs—not camera RAW files. No Eidos prints or albums.

Ceremonies and permissions

We photograph civil, religious and symbolic ceremonies, vows and renewals, subject to venue rules. A symbolic ceremony does not itself create a legal marriage. You or your planner arrange legal requirements, venue bookings, officiants, permissions, permits and admission.

We coordinate the photography timeline with your planner, venue or officiant. Share photography restrictions before booking.

Family groups and portrait time

Prepare a short priority list of family combinations and nominate someone to gather relatives. Build realistic time for preparations, ceremony, groups, transfers and reception moments. A portrait-only booking cannot substitute for event coverage.

Match light to the day

Early morning is usually best for busy landmarks; Trevi-led online starts are normally 6:30–7:30 AM, subject to date and availability—not a sunrise guarantee. Sunset suits gardens and skyline views. Blue hour at Castel Sant’Angelo or the Colosseum may need a manually agreed start outside online slots.

We plan around your fixed ceremony time in Rome local time. Winter daylight ends earlier; weather, buildings and monument lighting affect results.

Travel, comfort and public space

Allow time for traffic, cobblestones and formal clothes. Transfers and outfit changes use booked coverage time; you or your planner arrange and pay transport. Tell us about mobility needs. Public squares cannot promise empty backgrounds or uninterrupted access.

Suppliers and multiple dates

We can introduce independent hair, makeup, flower, transport or officiant suppliers when suitable contacts are available; you book and pay them directly. Multi-day or out-of-Rome work needs a custom proposal covering each date, travel and deliverables.

Delivery

What You Receive and When

Edited selection: Eidos chooses and edits the final photographs. Test shots, duplicates and unusable frames are excluded from the edited gallery.
Photo count: portrait-route totals are shown above; each custom-wedding date has its own image range in the written proposal.
Private digital gallery: high-resolution JPEGs for personal sharing and independent printing. One-year availability should be stated in the Booking Confirmation; download and back up the files.
No physical products: Eidos does not supply prints or wedding albums. Camera RAW files are not delivered.

Booking

Confirm Your Wedding Photography

Share your plan. Send the date, ceremony type, venues, guest count, current timeline, essential moments and any video request.
Review your proposal. We recommend coverage, team and portrait timing. Custom work specifies photography, optional video, travel and deliverables in writing.
Reserve the date. A 20% deposit plus written confirmation reserves agreed coverage; the balance is due after photography, before file delivery. Full payment at confirmation is also possible.

Changes and cancellation

As stated in the confirmed custom-wedding proposal, payments are non-refundable because the date and team are reserved, subject to mandatory legal rights. Contact us early about a change; alternatives depend on availability and must be confirmed in writing. Standard portrait-route bookings follow their checkout terms.

Weather and team backup

A wedding normally continues in manageable rain. We may adjust portrait timing or locations and use an indoor venue area when permitted; weather does not automatically refund custom wedding coverage. A qualified Eidos photographer may replace the assigned photographer. If no suitable replacement is possible for the affected service, that service is refunded.

Rome Wedding Photography FAQ

How many hours do we need?

Choose Landmark Portraits for couple-only photos; Ceremony-Only for a simple one-venue event; Half-Day for connected chapters; Full-Day for preparations through reception. We confirm from your real timeline.

Wedding portraits, elopement or wedding coverage?

A portrait route has no event coverage. Elopement suits a smaller couple-led ceremony; custom wedding coverage fits venue schedules, family groups, suppliers or reception. Guest count alone does not decide.

Do we need a second photographer?

Not always. We recommend one when preparations or key moments happen simultaneously, or venues and groups are spread out.

Must we book a separate portrait day?

No. It is optional but highly recommended for unhurried landmark photos. A realistic same-day window is also possible.

Can you photograph civil, religious or symbolic ceremonies?

Yes, subject to venue access, permissions and availability. You or your planner handle legal arrangements; a symbolic ceremony is not a legal marriage.

How many photographs will we receive?

Portrait-route totals appear in the comparison. A custom proposal states an image range for each date, with optional additional edited photos.

Do you provide RAW files, prints or albums?

No camera RAW files, Eidos prints or albums. Get All Photos, when selected, supplies unedited JPEGs under the confirmed scope.

Can we see a full wedding gallery?

Ask us. We can share a relevant private gallery only when the photographed clients have permitted it.

When will photos and video arrive?

Portrait-route photos: within 48 hours; custom wedding photos: within one week; professional video: up to two months. Confirm the project-specific dates in your proposal.

Can a custom wedding booking be cancelled or changed?

Confirmed custom-wedding payments are non-refundable under the agreed proposal, subject to mandatory legal rights. Contact us early; any alternative date needs written confirmation.

What if it rains or our photographer is unavailable?

We adapt manageable weather when possible. A qualified Eidos replacement may cover the day; if no suitable replacement is possible, the affected service is refunded.

Do you cover multi-day or out-of-Rome weddings?

Yes, by custom proposal with each date, location, travel need and deliverable agreed separately.

Will you publish our photographs?

Only with separate optional permission. Private gallery delivery does not permit Eidos to use identifiable images for portfolio, advertising or social media.

How early should we book?

Contact us when you know your date, especially for weekends and high season. A date is reserved only after the agreed booking steps and written confirmation.
